The same steps and techniques apply for all smokey eyes no matter what color or texture the shadow.
1. Begin with a black kohl liner and line the upper and lower waterline.
2. Use a black cream eyeshadow as a base all over the lid. DO NOT go above the crease.
3. Use a synthetic brush to blend the edges of the cream base.
4. Take a matte black eyeshadow on a stiff e/s brush and pack onto the lid.
5. Use a pencil brush to smudge the lower lash line.
6. To define the crease and further blend out the black, use a dark matte brown e/s on a fluffy tapered blending brush and blend into the crease. Use circular wind-whiping motions.
Touch up any space on the lid with the matte black e/s, be sure to blend it out!
7. Use an e/s brush to blend out the edge of lower lash line with the dark matte brown e/s.
8. Use a light shimmer e/s on a large shader brush to highlight the brow brown. Focus the color on the highest part of the brow.
9. Add tons of mascara, or add false lashes.
